Experience
For over thirty years, Mr. Drought has been practicing business and general litigation in San Antonio and South Texas. Mr. Drought is the President of the Firm, Head of the Litigation Section and Board Certified in Civil Trial Law, Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He is a fourth generation lawyer practicing in San Antonio. Mr. Drought has been rated AV, the highest rating, by Martindale-Hubbell since 1980. He has been selected by his peers for inclusion in Super Lawyers -- Best Attorneys in Texas Edition Law & Politics Magazine, 2003-2005, 2008.
The vast majority of Mr. Drought's practice is devoted to complex litigation. He has been lead counsel in many cases that resulted in sizeable verdicts or settlements against some of the largest and best known companies in America. In recent years he has represented investors in class and mass actions against auditors, lenders and attorneys as lead and co-lead counsel resulting in substantial settlements. Additionally, he has defended multimillion dollar cases for a variety of business clients, primarily lenders, and enjoys the distinction of never having lost a defense verdict.
