Experience
Mr. Garcia is a lawyer licensed to practice in Mexico and focuses his practice in representing U.S. and Canadian companies in all matters related to their business operations and transactions in Mexico and Latin America. Mr. Garcia has over seventeen years of experience in the corporate, transactional, joint venture, distribution, real estate and technology areas in Mexico.

His experience includes:

- Representing U.S. real estate developers (industrial and residential) in multiple projects throughout Mexico.

- Representing U.S. Real Estate Investment Trust (R.E.I.T.) in the acquisition and development of properties throughout Mexico, and their ongoing leasing activities.

- Representing U.S. and Canadian manufacturers in setting-up manufacturing operations (Maquiladoras), and distribution agreements in Mexico.

- Representing U.S. and Canadian companies in the acquisition process of existing Mexican entities and assets, for industrial and commercial operations.

- Representing different U.S. parties in setting-up and managing Mexican joint venture companies (with other U.S. or Mexican parties) in the real estate, manufacturing, fishing, and agricultural industries.

- Representing companies in developing, setting up and managing efficient corporate strategies for Mexico (covering tax, labor, environmental, customs and corporate areas).

- Representing of U.S. banks, other lenders, and borrowers in financing facilities, and asset securitization in Mexico.

- Representing clients (U.S. companies and private individuals) in Mexico's tourism industry from Cabo San Lucas to the Mayan Riviera, in the acquisition, development and sale of resort, time share properties and Fideicomisos.

- Representing U.S. and Canadian clients with trademarks and copyright matters in Mexico.

- Representing U.S. and Canadian clients with Mexico's Foreign Investment Commission for approval of foreign investment projects, and before the Mexican Antitrust Commission for filings related to mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Garcia is a frequent speaker on Mexico and international business transactions at various Universities, and seminars held throughout the United States and Mexico.
