AREAS OF EXPERTISE
CITY OF SAN ANTONIO AND BEXAR COUNTY
- Representation before the San Antonio City Council and Bexar County Commissioner’s Court.
- Assist with zoning, platting and subdivision.
- Work with City and County Staff to create and revise ordinances, rules and regulations affecting the business community.
- Assist with qualification for and participation in business development and retention incentive programs.
- Prepare and negotiate formal contractual arrangements with governmental entities.
- Represent clients purchasing or leasing property from the City or County, as well as other procurement issues.
- Represent clients to secure water, wastewater and utility service commitments.
- Prepare and negotiate Developer Participation Agreements for public-private infrastructure projects.
- Provide assistance with traffic-related issues and right-of-way access and acquisition.
FEDERAL MATTERS
- Facilitate communication with local representatives serving in Washington on federal matters affecting individuals, organizations and businesses in San Antonio and South Texas.
- Representation before federal agencies, boards and commissions.
- Assist with federal regulatory compliance of diverse activities and business operations.
STATE OF TEXAS
- Representation before various Committees of the Texas House and Senate about proposed legislation.
- Facilitate communication with key state legislators about client concerns.
- Draft proposed statutes and regulations, as well as developing and implementing strategies for passage and adoption.
- Assist with matters pending before state agencies, boards and commissions.
- Consult with clients about open meetings and open records.
- Request attorney general opinions on statutory interpretation issues.
