Operational Matters
- Assist in the proper conduct of board of trustee and committee meetings, including parliamentary matters (Robert’s Rules of Order).
- Prepare formal policies and procedures and consult on open meetings and open records requests.
- Assist with qualified domestic relations orders (QDROs).
- Monitor federal and state legislation affecting government plans.
- Prepare and negotiate agreements with investment managers, investment advisors and custodial banks.
- Render legal advice with respect to trustee and executive officer fiduciary obligations.

- Pension and benefit plan drafting, amendment and interpretation.
- Represent clients in all phases of the governing statute/plan approval process at the city and state level.
- Coordinate IRS plan qualification and related federal law compliance.
- Assist with questions about benefits for retirees and other plan beneficiaries.
